In an abode I grew up,
Plushy gushy artifacts were there,
Few things remained in heart,
Rocking chair is one of them!
With the sways on rocking chair,
saw the stars on grandpa’s lap,
Moon was looking pretty bright,
Just as lovely as grandma’s smile!
Rocking chair in a balcony,
Showed us the season’s play,
Relaxation was all it defined,
With the jollifications encircled!
Mornings with the chair squeaks,
Grandpa read the newspaper,
Brought the world in front of us,
Being seated on rocking chair!
Time is faster than we think,
Old age made grandpa weak,
Sitting on the rocking chair,
He reached the Lord’s feet!
Empty chair was not charming,
Illusions showed grandpa sitting,
Beautiful childhood I always miss,
love of grandparents was a bliss!
