When your eyes turned away
And our breath moved apart,
Unconsciously I swayed
Trembling from the heart;
When your hands fell aside
I’d to fend for myself ~
I sweat under the sky-
Cold, Dark, with stinging elves.
I stand all alone,
Bitten, frosted and bruised.
Remarks whipping
Across numb wounds.
Tearing life apart
You try walking away:
But a twang in your heart
Puts your wrath at bay.
You walk back to me, love,
With a remorse-filled heart.
Your touch made me realise
The gush of my blood.
Your reconciling soul
Pours life from within,
Your hands shield the cold
And the elves’ smittens.
Our gaze meets a-strong,
Our breath encore-
The life you stretched along
Extended our realm of love.
