Raindrops on my body dewdrops on the rose petals,
the narrow muddy path a furlong long,
the lone sun ray seering through the wintry chill,
the deer darted across the jungle like lightning!
The clink of bells on the horse tied to the carriage,
the group of swans gliding on the lake on the moonlit night,
the crackle of the dry twigs under the fallen rustling leaves,
my heart leaps at the thought of all these!
The rows of children in their school uniforms,
winding through the green fields and dusty roads,
the sound of the cold stream flowing and the ripple made by stone,
calmed my disturbed, confused and agitated mind!
The countless people in the cities and the huge crowds,
neon lit streets selling all warres,
fades into ignominy when I think of the smell of earth on the muddy village path,
fades into ignominy when I smell the first rain on parched earth,
they calmed my disturbed, confused and agitated mind!
