Dripping from the roof above
Comes the cooling showers nigh.
A steaming mug in my hands,
Rocking on a cane chair I sigh.
As the sun rays drench me now,
Soporific with a book in hand;
I breathe in the salty sea
As I look at the stretch of sand.
Swaying in the twining hammock
My view is of towering trees.
The forest sounds are nature's band
Softly whispers the gentle breeze.
The spring flows down on the rocks
Gurgling sounds of melody.
On wet foot I dance along
The downward stream with rhapsody.
Life in fast lane is rushing by,
As I take some moments to dream.
An idyll in my mundane life,
Intoxicating as coffee and cream.
