When I opened my eyes to the world,
there were the echoes
of brass bells,
And the melodious notes flowed
From pearly conch shells.
When I crawled up on my feet,
I saw the mute stone
of heavenly fame.
That's 'God' said mother
With a million Royal names.
When I was on my learning spree
That lifeless stone
Glowed with a Godly hue,
You said, 'twas my imagination,
But it felt so right and true.
When my journey took me far,
That stone was sitting
In silent dust
Faith was now in my heart
It was a stone, from just a hurst.
When I am reached my twilight years,
That stone has found
Its pride of place,
Mother's voice is heard again
'God' I see on His stone face!
